Statement + Curation of images

The title of my project is called ‘illumination’. It communicates the multifaceted nature of light and the manner of how it can impact a space. In daylight, natural light permeates into a space, with ability to enlighten space as well as bringing a sense of life and vitality. Juxtaposing to this, as the daily cycle comes to an end where the sun set, artificial light comes into space which brings in a new atmosphere in as people come to occupy the setting. Through the experimentation of light with the interplay of linear pattern, material, and movements in my work. It presents how the adaption of light comes to communicate utilitarian and aesthetic purpose as well as creating different exterior expression and interior experience in a space.
